Pixgallery 4.5.7 released, finally :)

Hey everyone, AWSOM Pixgallery version 4.5.7 is now officially and finally released. This version has a few bug fixes and now supports WordPress 2.7. A notable change to all versions of the plugin is the location of the Gallery management area–> it is now located under the “Design” or “Appearance” tab of the WordPress admin area. This is not something I really wanted to do, but the changes in 2.7 forced me to relocate the page and this was the best option.

One very nice thing is the “Individual Comment System” works perfectly with the new Nested Comment system in 2.7, so now all of your galleries and images can have lively conversations going that only show up for that image or gallery.

Anyway, grab the new version and as usual please let me know if you have any issues.

  1. having a hard time with the absolute path functionality. Doesnt seem to do anything if its on or off. I am running wordpress in a sub directory off of the main one so this is a problem. I am on wp 2.6.5 and not 2.7 so i dont know if that is an issue or not.

  2. Hi, please post a link to the page that’s not working, or email me using the contact form. I’ll need to look at it to see what I can figure out. Also, the cache folder setting as well as the actual pixgallery code are sometimes the issues.

  3. I’m using WP 2.6 but for some reason my thumbnails are not showing up. If I click the thumbnail it takes me to the page where it shows the image alone in my theme but the image doesn’t show up there either. If I click on that it opens the image by itself full-sized in a new window and that works. Any ideas why the other two are not showing up?
    Thanks

  4. Ok I found out what was wrong with my above problem but now I’m wondering how I can add pagination to sub-galleries? As far as I can tell there’s only an option to use it on the main page of a gallery.

    Thanks again.

  5. I’m using WP 2.8.2 i am trying to get it to work with shadowbox. Can anyone help please. The box comes up without image.

    • Hi, did you turn off the built in javascript effects in Pixgallery? It’s one of the admin settings. Also, there’s a box there to input the “rel” code that a 3rd party effects library typically uses to do it’s effect, make sure you only added the code itself, nothing more, into this box. (so if they say add rel=”shadowbox” to your images ONLY type shadowbox into the entry field and save the settings)
