The new AWSOM News Announcement 1.4.0 Beta 2 plugin for Wordpress is now available for download from the AWSOM.org website. This new version has user level display per news post capability (so you can limit certain posts to be viewed by only registered users or above), Management level selector (so you can allow authors or editors to also administer your news posts), as well as the ability to input customized CSS for your News posts through the admin area.

As the usual blah blah blah this is Beta software so be careful in using it in a live site, but I’m relatively sure it’s stable.
